How do you rate DTC as EE producer?
Excellent, has bough EastEnders back to its realistic roots.	0 (0%)
Good, has bought back a lot of it and character driven stories	1 (33.3%)
Average, some improvements but still lots to work on and nothing great.	1 (33.3%)
Mediocre, still very far fetched stories, unlikeable characters and unnecessary returnees.	1 (33.3%)

Axing the majority of the Hartman's and a few other pieces of dead wood, reuniting Alfie, bringing in the Carters, giving Carol a meaty storyline, developing Ronnie and giving Masood a big storyline which didn't revolve around Zainab. But since Stacey has returned it's just been one farce after another. He's made David out to be an annoying Grandad type character which he never was in the ninties, put the Carters right to the back of the que in terms of storylines... there's so many of them yet we never see them serving behind the bar at the Vic? Regressed Alfie and Kat's relationship even further amongst other things. But the worst thing of all..... he brought Stacey fucking Slater back.

One very egotistical and self centred man who is big on promise and short on delivery. Stacey has become The Star Of The Show again. DTC has sidelined many characters or interwoven them to fit around The Star Of The Show. He says he wants EE to reflect the modern world but it will be just the odd ref to Shoreditch and crime and thats it. Carol and Kat have turned unlikeable.

Carol has finally been given something to do and I do like David being the garndparent, some people do change and mellow. He is still schemeing though... Masood bores me but has been the best since Zainab left... The Caters are new, you should expect them to be explored... However the farce around Staceys return was daft. Max siding with her over his own niece, just because he fancies her, yeah right...

He's retconned David and Carol's relationship to the absolute extreme. David and Carol we're a dirty little bunk up behind the bike shed as two sexually frustrated teenagers (ala Cindy and TJ). Even in David and Carol's first stint there was no attraction on David's part, he was more interested in the classy ladies like Cindy. He's also never really cared for his family, that's way he runs away all the time. I hope David and Nikki pursue their romance, not only does Nikki suit David more he also doesn't deserve Carol who's done nothing but bully the poor bloke since she got cancer.

Soap Legend Posts: 382 Group: Members Member #3 Joined: Dec 10, 2013	As said DTC started off good and I though EE was back to its best again but the wheels came off in February when Stacey returned and since then the show has returned to its usual contrived melodramatic mess. Personality changes, Ronnie and Stacey being the main characters, many retcons and more holes in the storylines than Uncle Albert Trotter's string vest.
